Welded drop-stitch

Strength from thousands of threads, not foam.

Drop-stitch has a military pedigree. In the 1950s Goodyear used it to build inflatable aircraft that the U.S. military tested, and today it goes into tactical boats and deployable shelters made for military use. The AIRCAP 1™ core uses the same construction: two layers of reinforced fabric joined by thousands of polyester threads. Inflated, the threads pull tight and hold the cover flat and rigid across your spa.

Inside there is only pressurized air, sealed between waterproof layers, so there is nothing to soak up water. It weighs 35–40 lb the day it arrives and the same years later, and the trapped air keeps doing the insulating.
